Exo Terra Heat Mat – heating pad

The Exo Terra Heat Mat is an excellent main or supplementary heat source for terrariums. It is best used under or on the terrarium wall to heat selected areas. The Exo Terra Heat Mat fits tightly to the terrarium, creating a solid connection for optimal heat transfer. It can be used with Exo Terra thermostats.

It is important to leave enough ‘cold spots’ to provide options for the animals and allow thermoregulation.

The heat provided by both the Exo Terra heating pads and cables will allow reptiles to thermoregulate to achieve optimal body temperature for increased activity and healthy digestion of food. Infrared radiation penetrates the skin and promotes cell growth, wound healing, supports the immune system, protects against UV damage and stimulates many other biological processes.
