Starter set – Dart Frog breeding

The starter kit from OrangeFrog.store is a terrarium with complete equipment to create a great habitat for dart frogs, geckos and other exotic animals.

The basis of this starter kit is the Breeder’s Line Dart Frog Breeding Terrarium. Made with the greatest care for the safety of the inhabitants and comfort of use, using 5 mm Float glass. Ventilation in the upper and lower part of the tank made of very fine mesh ensures natural flow of fresh air and prevents even the smallest food insects from leaving.

Skylight MID-30 Intense lamps are responsible for the lighting in the starter set. These small lamps are perfect for small and medium terrariums. The parameters in Skylight MID-30 have been selected in such a way as to achieve one goal – vivid, intense colours. The large amount of red spectrum stimulates the phytochromes of plants to produce protective, colourful pigments. The RGB spectrum, on the other hand, allows you to see more intense, more saturated colours.

Ventilation in a tropical tank is just as important as proper lighting or humidity. Air movement can be forced by a terrarium ventilation kit. The kit includes 1 or 2 quiet fans, a power supply unit with speed control as well as the necessary cables and fan covers.

The wood we add to the set is 1 or 2 sized Red Moor or Plant Wood pieces. The wood is chosen so that it can be used to create an attractive, natural looking arrangement.

The amount of substrate, drainage layer or leaves is calculated to be enough for making a layer of a few centimetres on the bottom of the tank.

Before you start breeding dart frogs or other animals in our starter kit you should install the equipment, arrange the terrarium and plant the tank with the plant species of your choice. We recommend waiting at least 2-3 months after planting before introducing the animals so that the plants can root and develop and the conditions in the tank can stabilise.
