HabiStat Beech Chip Substrate – Fine

HabiStat Beech Chip Substrate – Fine is a natural beech wood chip that is a popular choice for many larger snake and lizard species, as well as birds and some mammals of dry environments. It comes in 2 versions – coarse and fine.

The substrate is virtually dust-free and very easy to use.

Our HabiStat substrate line is packaged in 100% recyclable and biodegradable paper bags.

Directions for use:

Spread the substrate evenly over the bottom of the terrarium, ensuring a layer 5cm deep. If you are using a heater under the terrarium (cable or heating mat), avoid making the substrate too thick. Clean locally as necessary and replace regularly.
